This feature will automatically convert Compact Document image attachments to Normal documents when the main document is printed, emailed or saved as a Draft. You will no longer have to convert your compact documents prior to printing or saving draft documents with attachments.

Compact Documents are images of documents created by a batch process. Under Imaging on an account, those images will have no document extension (EXT column) and will not participate in attachments and exports until converted to a normal document.
This process will automatically convert the image to normal when the current Document it is attached to is printed, emailed or saved as a Draft. If the process you are doing also converts normal document to pdf, the process will still do the pdf conversion but the image will still be a normal document.
The Mass Email will also convert compact images but only on Calculated Image Attachments. Mass Emails are in Interfaces and Mass Email.
The attachment will be converted when the email is generated.
